Fran B 10/24/2009
Fran has been wanting a change, so we were letting her hair grow out to a longer shape. Since her hair texture is rather thick and coarse, layers and texture help to remove some of the heaviness. We also regularly color her base a very natural shade of golden brown and occasionally add some subtle highlights. Add Comment Debbie L 10/24/2009
You'd never know that Debbie's hair started out nearly entirely gray (top-95% and underneath about 50%). We added lowllights for depth and toned the gray with a buttery blonde color. The colors really show the movement within the haircut. Debbie wore a bob for years and we've experimented with shorter layered shapes. Eileen F 10/24/2009
Eileen asked me to give her a haircut that would give her hair the most volume. The shorter layers underneath help support and push up the longer top layers that were textured for movement. We touched up her roots (base color) and added low lights for contrast and depth as she already had blonde highlights. Jasmine P 10/24/2009
Jasmine asked for long side swept bangs she wanted to try. We used Iron Silk by Redken prior to using the flat iron. It helped give her the hold she needed as well as protect from heat. Susan S 10/24/2009
This is the inspiration photo Susan's haircut was based on. However, she didn't want the short layers in the crown but primarily liked the texture and flipped edges. So it's interesting to see how aspects of a photo can be helpful to show what a client wants as well as doesn't want. Sheri F 10/24/2009

Long Inverted Bob 10/24/2009
Long Inverted Bob, long enough to pull back into a low ponytail. We also added bright blonde highlights. Fran B 10/24/2009

We colored Cheryl's hair a deep chocolate brown for gray coverage and razor cut her hair for lots of movement and texture. She has body in her hair as long as it's not too long. | Latest Client Hair Styles
