Caroline has considered having a body wave put in for at least a year.  It turned out beautiful and very natural looking.  I chose a permanent wave solution that is very gentle and explained that she could blow this curl completely straight since it's such a soft effect.  Another reason I like this perm because there will never be a definitive "line" because it relaxs over time, so it grows out especially well.  After the process and just a slight trim, I blew dry the hair slowly at first just using my hands to scrunch the interior for a very casual look and then a medium size round brush especially around the perimeter to pull out some of the fresh curl.  Sexy Hair Mousse was used.

Nancy said she was inspired by American Idol contestant Adam Lambert's new haircut, so we talked about asymmetrical shapes and used the razor to remove bulk and keep softness in this short, sassy pixie cut which looks fantastic with Nancy's fine features.  A warm golden brown color (with extra additive for resistant gray coverage) and subtle highlites to show movement in the longer asymmetrical fringe. 

Natalie's official first highlites at age 13!  (if you don't count the few we snuck in at her hairline when her Mom was getting summer highlites)  We still kept them rather subtle with the focal point being right around her face.  We also added a long side sweep bang and long layers at the shoulder for softness and she can easily pull it up into twist or ponytail.  If she doesn't choose to keep up either the highlites or the bangs, they will grow out without any trouble. 

This day we just touched up Susan's base color at the roots as it doesn't need highlites everytime, and we also shaped up her long layered, above the shoulder hair cut.  We blew dry her hair with a round brush and then lightly smoothed the top layers with a flat iron.

We added more layers to Tomi's hair this day as she felt it had gotten too heavy, and we added more bangs to frame her face. I used the razor and texturing shears to remove bulk and create more movement.
