You'd never know that Debbie's hair started out nearly entirely gray (top-95% and underneath about 50%).  We added lowllights for depth and toned the gray with a buttery blonde color.  The colors really show the movement within the haircut.  Debbie wore a bob for years and we've experimented with shorter layered shapes.

This is the inspiration photo Susan's haircut was based on.  However, she didn't want the short layers in the crown but primarily liked the texture and flipped edges.  So it's interesting to see how aspects of a photo can be helpful to show what a client wants as well as doesn't want.

Base color (for gray coverage) and blonde highlights.  Long layered shag cut.

Long Inverted Bob, long enough to pull back into a low ponytail.  We also added bright blonde highlights.

Tone on Tone color and highlights

Base color dark blonde with golden blonde highlights added for dimension.  Very thick, natural wavy hair with coarse texture.  This combination has a tendency toward dryness and soaks up products.  I like the Pureology Relaxing Serum on her hair most recently.  I'm always trying new products and this one is the one I reach for the most for this texture of hair.

The last picture is actually a BEFORE picture.  We removed some length for a long layered cut with side bangs.  Caramel highlights were added to create dimension on her natural brown base.

Base color a soft brown and we add partial highlights and lowlights for dimension. This chic short bob and the soft swept fringe bring out Linda's cheekbones and eyes.

Natural curly hair, brunette color with partial caramel toned highlights. Sexy Hair's product Root Pump Plus is great for scrunching curls.  I only use a round brush for the bangs. Easy care.
