"Lipstick Fixes Everything"... :) It's kind of true though that we tend to feel best when we look our best. Some of us have a "knack' for it and know exactly what they want, while others need some help. Well as a hairstylist, I like working with both types of people! Communication is so important and listening and asking the right questions and using tools to help that communication further is an important part of a hair styling appointment. I like to use photos and make sure we understand each other prior to starting any service. Technology has made that soooo much easier. Check out my Portfolio and the Hair Style Selector.
Thanks a bunch!
Hello, I'm Leigh Anne of Stylist225. I've been a hair stylist professional since 1981. Working with my hands and being creative is what I've enjoyed most about this profession but also it's the one on one with people, knowing I can be of service and over time develop a close relationship and understanding of each of my clients needs has been as rewarding as the creative aspect itself.
I've known I wanted to be a hair stylist ever since going to the "beauty salon" as a small child. Something about the creative energy and the people really clicked for me. Immediately after graduating from high school in 1980, I enrolled into a Barber Stylist College and one year later was working behind the chair and assisting seasoned professionals in a large Baton Rouge Salon called Percy Solar's. Within four years I moved across town to South Baton Rouge and became an independent stylist at a small Perkins Road booth rental salon. By 1987 I opened Illusions Hair Salon (currently Salon Chateau) with another Stylist. The salon has changed hands 3 times since and the current owner is wonderful to work with. As a former salon owner I can really appreciate great leadership and management and what I enjoy today is walking into the buzz and flow of a well managed salon filled with happy co-workers who also love what they do. Along the way, I started booking my own clients myself instead of the front desk handling that aspect.
So I personally return calls or texts and schedule hair appointments for my clientelle. Your call will often go to voice mail but please know that I check your messages frequently and return calls/texts in the order received. If you've left enough information I can often hold the day/time of your preference by penciling you in prior to a text/call confirmation.
If you need to reach me immediately regarding an appointment on the same day, please first text me as I can read those quicker, or leave a voice mail.
Running Late? Need to cancel a same day appointment?
