Hair Shape

Hair shapes can be timeless or trendy, or fall somewhere in-between depending on your personal taste and style.

During your consultation we will be determining how shape and line will bring out your best features.

Vertical lines can be slimming and horizontal lines bring emphasis to an area of the face.  Think of how just the right length of bangs on the forehead can bring attention to the eyes. However a strong line hitting a broad shoulder at just the wrong length can add visual width to your body.

Diagonal lines carry the eye up and out and creates a visual 'lift'.

Choosing a Hair Color

Color levels and tones can be dialed up or down, made brighter more vivid or just simply more even (from fadage).  We'll look at whether the flecks of color in your eyes are warm, cool or neutral make excellent guides to which hair colors would suit you best.

Modern hair color is all about dimensions. Even single color applications are formulated to show different levels in the hair.  Often time letting your percentage of gray work for you by appearing to be highlights.
Coloring Gray Hair:
The natural natural coloring of your skin (and that changes as we mature).  Hair tends to become dull and less reflective to light as we mature because the hair shaft is changing.  In the process of turning gray it's usually more rebellious and callous (read wiry and rougher), and color can add new vitality.
"Graying hair needs special treatment.  I use a color line that allows me to personalize (with additives) the amount of coverage you need. "

ASK ME ABOUT
State-of-the-Art Consultations
"if a picture speaks a thousand words..."

"Style books are visual tools we use in the salon to aide in communicating hair styles prior to actual 'cutting' our clients hair.  In the salon we have stacks of hard cover STYLE books available to flip through while waiting to see your stylist.  Although the Style Books are great to have, it is often hard to find what you are looking for.

Technology comes to the rescue!  I've developed an efficient tool to use during consultations, as it helps to narrow down the many hair styles into specific categories, such as Bobs, Layers: Above the shoulder, Below the shoulder, Long Hair, Curly Hair, Color, Bangs/Fringes,
Men's & Kid's styles and more....."
