One of my favorite options is that gray stands can be made to appear as highlights, by coloring only the gray... switching from the cool shade (white, gray, silver) to a warmer shade, such as light blonde. Blonde hair compared to white new growth, isn't a stark contrast, although nearly any shade can be used from caramel, auburn or simply blend in, a few shades lighter than the rest of your natural color. This is an option whether you are solid gray already, or have only a few strands that aren't working for you.
