This time we discussed cutting Suzie's hair into more of a disconnected inverted bob and touched up the highlights. This time I remembered to take some BEFORE pics of Ashley's hair since we were also touching up her highlights and her layered hair is growing out nicely into this inverted bob shape. A flat iron is used with IRON SILK which is fast becoming one of my favorite styling products since it imparts not only control to fine hair but also a bit of shine. Alice had recently gotten highlights and color between foil packs and all she needed was a haircut today. Since it's so short, we opted to let the side bangs be a little longer on one side for a very slight asymmetrical appearance and also texturize the crown a bit for some added height. We have found that Linda's fine textured hair holds it's shape best in this bob shape with very little layering and just a few short bangs. Base color is a warm dark blonde and this visit we added blonde highlights for a nice contrast. Nancy said she was inspired by American Idol contestant Adam Lambert's new haircut, so we talked about asymmetrical shapes and used the razor to remove bulk and keep softness in this short, sassy pixie cut which looks fantastic with Nancy's fine features. A warm golden brown color (with extra additive for resistant gray coverage) and subtle highlites to show movement in the longer asymmetrical fringe. Natalie's official first highlites at age 13! (if you don't count the few we snuck in at her hairline when her Mom was getting summer highlites) We still kept them rather subtle with the focal point being right around her face. We also added a long side sweep bang and long layers at the shoulder for softness and she can easily pull it up into twist or ponytail. If she doesn't choose to keep up either the highlites or the bangs, they will grow out without any trouble. Sheri's hair is very thick with a slightly course texture. This is a totally new look for Sheri in both color and haircut. We've selected an above the shoulder layered shape that can be worn either with the natural curl with big volume or sleek and smooth with the aide of smoothing products and a flat iron. We've gone with more ash toned highlights recently because she wants to transition from an all over color and partial highlights to the less demanding lowlights and highlights and allowing her natural color to blend in for less obvious new growth at the roots. We added some subtle dark blonde lowlites and vanilla highlites to Pat's natural base for dimensions of silver-blonde tones and texture. This day we just touched up Susan's base color at the roots as it doesn't need highlites everytime, and we also shaped up her long layered, above the shoulder hair cut. We blew dry her hair with a round brush and then lightly smoothed the top layers with a flat iron. |
