THINNING HAIR SPECIALIST
Yes, I personally know the struggle of thinning hair. Growing up I never would have guessed how much I would have in common with my mother who had such severe hair loss starting in her 40's, she always wore wigs in public to cover her hair loss.
I never had extremely thick hair, but just average.. then in my early 50s, around menopause I began to notice thinning in the crown of my head.. the thinning got worse over the following years until I finally got the help of an endochronologist at BR Clinic.
So the years prior to getting proper treatment I lost time, assuming it was thyroid related, then after reading online, and going to a dermotoligist who added spirolactone and that seemed to slow the shed some. However, it wasn't until my hormones got balanced the noticeable shedding stopped and after 3 months I noticed new growth..by 6 months I was hopeful and relieved. Ever since I've been grateful for getting some of my hair back and for not having to were a wig like my mom had.
After going so long without proper treatment, I knew from my professional training that each hair strand is fed by a blood supply and if untreated too long the hair shaft miniaturizes as the blood supply dies off..those hair shafts are forever gone.
As in other life experiences, I truly believe that what I went through gave me the sensitivity to understand others going through the hair loss experience.. at age 60 and during a stressful move and weight loss the shed began again.. while waiting to get in to see the endo, a sweet client brought me a bottle of AG-Pro. Due to some mild kidney issues, I'm only taking one AG-Pro day but after a few weeks I have noticed less shedding. So my journey continues through the end of 2023..
If you have questions or need any help with your hair loss, I will share what I know and can definitely help with suggesting hair styles and also what products can cosmetically give you coverage and confidence, while you seek medical treatment to stop the shedding and get back on track with the anagen growth phase.
